Speaking of berries...a few days ago my local QFC had blackberries with a big sign:

"Fresh Local Berries"

In the small print below it said "Grown in Mexico".

This is like an S&M fantasy for the mouth. The pleasure-to-pain ratio looks just right. I might try it with a Southern sweetener, like Steen's Cane Syrup or some sorghum. Good news the puree phase of your life has come to a close.

Flat eggs? In terms of food, "plat" means "dish" in French. The "correct" name of the dish is "Les Oeufs au plat" which means eggs served in a dish. That *is* one of my favorites dishes at Cafe Presse.

Hmm - I used a good-quality honey (Tahuya River Farms, from Seattle, I'd also recommend Rockridge Orchards' stuff). I find it works well if you melt the honey and sugar and mix everything while it's still good and warm. . .but let me know if you have any problems!

This looks incredible. The challenge in many granolas is the concentration of sugars. Do you have a vote on the best type of honey to use to get the sweetness while minimizing the side effects of the sugar?
