Newleyweds and Nearlydeads

Yesterday, after we saw Mt. Rushmore (which really IS worth seeing, we decided, because where else do you see what’s basically a Rodin statue the size of a mountain? Certainly not in Paris), we hit up a local buffalo ribs joint, where the jaunty South Dakotan waitress assured us that the tourist season was over, because all she’d been seeing were the newlyweds and the nearlydeads. Thank goodness we still fit into that first category, I guess.
