This month’s Gourmet Magazine has a quote on page 39 that reads:

One in five Americans live on a diet of ten foods or fewer. Among the most common choices? French fries, fried chicken, chocolate chip cookies, and Kraft macaroni and cheese.

Phew. At least they didn’t say fried oysters.

    Apples, carrots, cheese, peanut butter, bread, pasta, tomatoes, yogurt, red bell peppers, ice cream.

  2. Chocolate, bread, chevre, red onions, grilled chicken, pizza, spinach, berries, peanut butter, rice. And right now sugar snap peas!!

    Pasta, tortillas, greens, cheese, beans, pizza, soup, bread, eggs, chicken.

    I once had a housemate who ate only 3 things: peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (oroweat cracked wheat bread, skippy superchunk and welches grape jelly–no substitutions), pepperoni pizza and cheese ravioli from an italian deli in his hometown.

    but soon the kale and chard are going to be taken over by corn and tomatoes… thank heavens!

  8. I’m totally spoiled and work in a farm based grocery. So we get milk from a raw milk dairy up the Methow Valley. (I’m over on the east side of the mountains)
